While I was in Iceland earlier this year I shared some thoughts on the future of retail and on the characteristics and competencies of those companies who, in my opinion, will be suited to thrive in it.
Gone are the days when industrial might and deep pockets guaranteed a company’s long-term success. The new Golden Age of retail will be dominated by companies who have the creativity to constantly reimagine their businesses while others cling to the status quo, coupled with the courage to act on their vision, while others hesitate.
