2014 was yet another remarkable year for the retail industry. Big box players like Target and Walmart continued the frantic search for their now-elusive mojo. A growing number of pure play online retailers like Birchbox continued their materialization in the physical world, opening permanent brick and mortar locations. Amazon captured our imaginations with the idea of drone delivery while their competitor Alibaba took off on Wall Street with the largest global IPO in history! It was a year of disruption, discovery and digitization.
I have no doubt that 2015 will give us lots to write about and share but in the meantime, here’s a look back at our top 5 posts of 2014.
