About Doug Stephens, President
Doug began his career as a store manager in a small family owned retail business. Since then he has spent 20 years in retail, holding senior international positions in general management, marketing, training and development and franchising. He has led retail groups in both the U.S. and Canada including one of New York City’s most iconic retail chains.
His work and thinking have influenced many of North America’s best known retailers and brands including Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Hudson’s Bay Company, Disney, Loblaw and Benjamin Moore.
Doug is the author of Retail Prophet’s Shift 2020 Retail Trends Report and a member of the Retail Wire Brain Trust. He is also founder of the Retail Prophets industry think-tank and a Contributing Blogger to Technorati’s business channel.
